ABOUT THE JOB - What will you do?
The Network and Security Architect is part of the Infrastructure, Data Warehouse & Production team in the IT Services department, and will be responsible for the following activities:
− Analyse the current network and security design, formulate additional technical requirements and recommend proven, resilient, and cost-effective designs in line with Advanzia’s architecture principles
− Create and maintain architectural network documentation, including standards narratives, drawings, and other artefacts
− Stay abreast of innovations in network technology to anticipate business and regulatory needs
− Mature our MPLS WAN/DC, data centre LAN, client edge, and design our secure multi public cloud (SD-WAN) connectivity models and deployments
− Participate in the selection of networking technologies and products and provide guidance on product selection based on requirements and scale
− Provide clear, timely, and appropriately detailed written and verbal updates on accomplishments and plans
− Cooperate with the Information Security Officer to assess and propose improvement to the IT security landscape
− The Head of IT Operations role reports to the Chief Information Officer
ABOUT YOU - What’s your background?
− Bachelor’s degree “BAC+ 3” in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position
− Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and wireless networks (Wi-Fi)
− In-depth knowledge of Firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Network Access Control (NAC) and Load balancer administration
− Strong knowledge of multi/hybrid cloud environments and the specific connectivity and security challenges
− Ability to script and automate recurring configuration or installation tasks with the clear objective to support DevOps processes
− Strong motivation to design and implement a software-defined networking practice together with the Architecture and Technology team
− Familiar with the following:
− Application firewalls, SIEM
− IDS/IPS, DLP
− Microsoft Server, Linux as well as virtualisation based on VMWare
− Web proxy and mail relay management
− Knowledge of the ITIL framework
− Experience in Business Continuity Planning
