This asset management company manages a broad range of investments across Europe, both in real estate and private equity.
My client is seeking a highly motivated In-house Lawyer to assist and work closely with the General Counsel and in-house lawyers on the day-to-day legal function, focusing on transactional as well as asset management support work across the Group.
The ideal person for this role will have experience working with a variety of assets across Europe with a large amount of exposure to the deal process from acquisition to divestment.
Your Responsibilities
* Support the Legal Counsel in the Group's legal and compliance projects
* Handle requests and recommendations of the Asset Management, Portfolio Management and Finance teams
* Prepare legal and corporate documents such as transactional and corporate governance documents
* Negotiating and preparing confidentiality agreements, term sheets, support and commitment letters, engagement letters and release letters
* Liaise on a regular basis with all external advisors e.g. local counsel, notaries, account banks and auditors
* Assisting the General Counsel in various strategic matters for the Company, as they may arise from time to time
Your Profile
* Minimum educational level: Master's degree in Law
* Minimum 2 years of experience (international transactions)
* Fluent in spoken and written German or French and very good English
* Impeccable ethical standards and the ability to forge trusted relationships at all levels
* Excellent influencing skills, communicating in an open and honest way, a team player with a "can do" attitude
* High integrity, prepared to take personal responsibility for own actions
* Commercially-orientated and strategically-minded, but hands-on in approach
* Enjoys working under pressure and has experience of working independently and delivering results to tight deadlines
