FUND CONTROLLER (M/F)
•Work with the Transfer Agent and Fund Administrator to establish SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure there is a strong control environment and accountability;
•Build strong working relationships with all service providers;
•Contributing to AML / KYC standards and polices for company’s funds;
•Contributing to the internal NAV integrity processes;
•Manage cash flow process in accordance with the funds unique dealing terms (for example: whether they can accommodate T-1 funds, anti-dilution levies, etc.);
•Ensure effective communication between Service Providers and internal parties, regarding new complex client take-ons, new fund/share class launches and other fund events;
•Develop and maintain all standard shareholder documentation (contract notes, statements, Investor Guide, etc.);
•Work with other functional teams, such as Product Development, Legal, Tax, Risk and Governance on:
•Involvement in conceptualizing new fund products;
•Research new product requirements, both internally with other functional teams but also externally with service providers;
•Develop and maintain fund level data in core internal systems;
•Continually enhance the company’s vendor strategy, vendor management, technical integration and data quality program, ensuring robust controls are in place.
•Have more than 7 years of relevant Transfer Agency experience, ideally gained within the Asset Management industry;
•Fund Accounting experience is preferred but not a prerequisite;
•Be self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership, assertive follow-through and organisational skills;
•Be technically proficient in relation to Microsoft software, SQL, Excel, VBA and/or Access;
•Be able to work effectively without close supervision;
•Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the financial services’ regulatory environment, and a sound understanding of general legal terms/clauses;
•Have a successful track record of assisting in large projects, including technology-based project work;
•Demonstrate a strong understanding of the commercial terms & conditions, and operational Service Level Agreements.
•Have excellent communications skills, coupled with a high degree of self-motivation.
